Martin Smith was a graduate of Butler High School in 1957. He was
an honors graduate of Indiana University School of Business in 1962
and an honors graduate of Indiana University School of Law in 1965.
John Martin Smith was admitted to the Indiana Bar and Federal Districts
Courts of Indiana and began practicing law in Auburn, Indiana in
1965.
John Martin Smith,
a DeKalb County Historian, past board member and President of the
Indiana Historical Society, received a Sagamore of the Wabash award
from the governor of Indiana, and has published numerous books and
articles on state and local history. His distinguished legal career
has encompassed outstanding achievements throughout Indiana. He
has devoted his profession and personal life to guiding and advising
clients and friends, and to leading civic organizations. John will

Thompson
Smith was a graduate of DeKalb High School in 1987. He graduated
from Vincennes University in 1989 with a degree in Aeronautical
Technology and received the Summa Cum Laude. Thompson graduated
from Ball State in 1992 with a Degree in Entrepreneurship and received
the Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He also graduated with
honors from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1997 with the
Magna Cum Laude. Thompson is also a commercial pilot with instrument
rating.
Thom accepts the
challenge of solving problems and minimzing conflict to meet your
objectives. Thom resides in Auburn, Indiana, with his wife, Jama,
and their three children. All legal matters require a cost - benefit
analysis and Thom prides himself on giving clients the advice they
